

About the program
Description
This program offers participants the opportunity to develop oral and written abilities for daily activities through six levels of proficiency organized as follow:
1. Introductory
2. Basic 1, 2, 3 & 4
3. Pre intermediate and Conversational Spanish for Advanced
beginners
4. Intermediate 1, 2 & 3 and Conversational Spanish for
Intermediate levels
5. Advanced 1, 2 & 3 and Conversational Spanish for Advanced levels
6. Superior A, B & C and Lengua y cultura mexicana** parts 1 & 2
Each course is 30 hours. All classes are entirely conducted in Spanish allowing students to practice the language from day one. Groups are small to foster confidence.
Classes are from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., online and in person. Dates and days for courses are available under the COURSE CALENDAR sections.
**The conversational courses Lengua y cultura mexicana 1 & 2, are offered once a week in the winter and fall sessions only.
All courses are open subject to enrollment (at least four students per course).
Transcripts are sent electronically once coursework has ended.

Registration process
Participants interested in joining any of our Spanish programs need to schedule an interview. Participants with previous Spanish language experience are advised to take a placement test. Placement tests and interviews are scheduled by appointment.

How do I enroll in a Spanish class?
Complete the registration form, the placement test (if needed), and an oral interview with one of our Spanish instructors.

Do I receive a certificate after completing the course?
After completing the course, you will receive a certificate of completion. However, this is not a certification.
How do I know what my level of Spanish is?
At the end of the oral interview, the Spanish teacher will let you know what level you have placed at. Your level is decided based on the placement test results and your oral interview.
