

Target audience
This program is for medical students, residents and clinicians in the area of Family Medicine who are non-native speakers of Spanish or heritage speakers.

Description
Participants develop communicative and socio-cultural competencies and strategies to better communicate and build rapport with their Spanish-speaking patients. Class activities include small group practice for vocabulary and grammar, role-plays, and simulations that reflect common clinical encounters in the area of family medicine.

We offer this program to organizations, hospitals, clinics and educational institutions interested in providing these courses to their students, residents, and clinicians in partnership with UNAM.
Fees
A 30-hour course for a group of up to 20 participants: $3,600
A 15-hour course fee for a group of up to 20 participants: $ 1,800
($6 per hour per student)
Materials (books) are not included in these fees.
Format
Different formats are possible, for example a two-hour session per week.
Location
Any location with a well equipped classroom (or through zoom)
