Target Audience

This program is for students and professionals in the areas of Social Work who are non-native speakers of Spanish or heritage speakers of Spanish. 

Description

Participants develop communicative and socio-cultural competences to better understand and serve the Hispanic community at work settings such as schools, agencies, hospitals, and offices of the Department of Social Services.

Vocabulary and grammar are practiced through role-plays and simulations that reflect common interactions between clients and social workers. 

We offer this program to organizations or educational institutions interested in providing these courses to their students or communities in partnership with UNAM. 

Fees

A 30-hour course for a group of up to 20 participants:  $3,600

A 15-hour course fee for a group of up to 20 participants: $ 1,800

($6 per hour per student)

Materials (books) are not included in these fees.

Format

Different formats are possible, for example a two-hour session per week.

Location

Any location with a well equipped classroom (or through zoom)
